Hi my name is Brenda, Jim Jannain is my husband, this was his first year in riding the MS-150 and I wanted to say thanks to the Awopaspicalimey group for inviting him to ride with them. I met several of the members myself and the ones I had the privileged to meet were very nice and showed warm welcomings. I felt the closeness of the group, more like a big family. I was a volunteer this year and I had a blast, seeing the pride of all the rider's come across the finish line was awesome, but I have to be honest to see my husband come across the finish line was very emotional for me, I'm a bawl bag anyway, LOL but I think I may have felt as much pride as my husband did, I was so very proud of him as well as each member of your group. My sister and brother in law have participated several years in the MS-150 and have ask me to ride next year, she made me a deal that if I ride and make it she will give me her Trek 5200........now how can I pass that deal up huh? So I will be training along with Jim and hopefully our son Deloy for the ride next year. Again thank you all very much for opening your group up to Jim and making him a member.
Wow! I just rode my first MS150 and I am sore! I think a great factor in me actually completing it was you guys. I was in a line of about 6-7 of your riders and drafting them was a huge help! I am interested in joining your team so that Im prepared for next year and can once again ride with you. thanks Dare
I think the best thing about this team is the willingness to stick around until the last teammate cross the finish line. Awopaspicalimey was there not only their to raise money for MS but to help every other person who chose to ride for a cure for MS! We were so blessed to become part of a caring and dedicated team! Keep up the awesome work and we hope to see you at the mountain bike races.
You did it again! You raised enough money to surpass your goal, you crossed the finish line and you left behind a great impression. This team continues to show it's heart time and time again. I participated in the MS150 as a volunteer for the first time this year. I was diagnosed with MS a couple of years ago, so I am very appreciative of the great job your club did in raising money to search for a cure. I am friends of John Rebescher and his daughter Kristin, who are super people, just like all of the folks in your club. Keep up the good work! It is much appreciated. Maybe with your help I will be able to ride with you someday!
I just wanted to give a big thanks to Mike and Terra for being such great hosts at the party last week-end, Jim and I felt very welcomed by everyone and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously, it's a great group of people. I got to share my story of having the gastric bypass with some of the group member's, for those that don't know what the gastric bypass it, it's a selective surgery for weight loss, I have lost over 200lbs since Jan. 14th, 2002. I have had 12 hernia's, three tummy tucks, and have my 13 hernia now, but I would have the surgery 10 times over just to have the quality of life I have now, to have gained back my self-worth and self-respect has been worth everything I have went through. Jim has been my biggest supporter, I was in ICU for 8 days and on the floor for 2 more days, Jim never left my side other than to take care of daily business and our kids, during my surgery I had to be trekked because I had no air wave passages, so I had to go home with the trek in, Jim would stay up at nights and other times to suction out the trek so I didn't choke on blood clots, after the trek came out and drain tubes still in I got s staff infection in my drain sites and was back in the hospital another 10 days where once again Jim didn't leave my side, going home having to be packed twice a day, Jim was my nurse, he packed my incision's twice a day for the next 5 months. So when he said he wanted to ride in the MS-150 I was totally supportive of him, I try to be supportive in everything he needs and wants, we both are supportive of each other, and Jim loves me telling my story just as well as I love his writings about things good and positive in his life, such as riding and finishing the MS-150. The pride we both felt was very overwhelming, I am very proud of Jim and am looking forward to seeing him accomplish more and more rides with your group. In fact I'm hoping to be able to ride with the group at some point also, cause I can't think of a better group of people to ride with, your not only a wonderful group but you truly believe in the causes you ride for. Hi my name is Brenda, Jim Jannain is my husband, this was his first year in riding the MS-150 and I wanted to say thanks to the Awopaspicalimey group for inviting him to ride with them. I met several of the members myself and the ones I had the privileged to meet were very nice and showed warm welcomings. I felt the closeness of the group, more like a big family. I was a volunteer this year and I had a blast, seeing the pride of all the rider's come across the finish line was awesome, but I have to be honest to see my husband come across the finish line was very emotional for me, I'm a bawl bag anyway, LOL but I think I may have felt as much pride as my husband did, I was so very proud of him as well as each member of your group. My sister and brother in law have participated several years in the MS-150 and have ask me to ride next year, she made me a deal that if I ride and make it she will give me her Trek 5200........now how can I pass that deal up huh? So I will be training along with Jim and hopefully our son Deloy for the ride next year. Again thank you all very much for opening your group up to Jim and making him a member.
Wow! I just rode my first MS150 and I am sore! I think a great factor in me actually completing it was you guys. I was in a line of about 6-7 of your riders and drafting them was a huge help! I think the best thing about this team is the willingness to stick around until the last teammate cross the finish line. Awopaspicalimey was there not only their to raise money for MS but to help every other person who chose to ride for a cure for MS! We were so blessed to become part of a caring and dedicated team! I participated in the MS150 as a volunteer for the first time this year. I was diagnosed with MS a couple of years ago, so I am very appreciative of the great job your club did in raising money to search for a cure. I am friends of John Rebescher and his daughter Kristin, who are super people, just like all of the folks in your club. Keep up the good work! It is much appreciated. Maybe with your help I will be able to ride with you someday!
I just wanted to give a big thanks to Mike and Terra for being such great hosts at the party last week-end, Jim and I felt very welcomed by everyone and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously, it's a great group of people. I got to share my story of having the gastric bypass with some of the group member's, for those that don't know what the gastric bypass it, it's a selective surgery for weight loss, I have lost over 200lbs since Jan. 14th, 2002. I have had 12 hernia's, three tummy tucks, and have my 13 hernia now, but I would have the surgery 10 times over just to have the quality of life I have now, to have gained back my self-worth and self-respect has been worth everything I have went through. Jim has been my biggest supporter, I was in ICU for 8 days and on the floor for 2 more days, Jim never left my side other than to take care of daily business and our kids, during my surgery I had to be trekked because I had no air wave passages, so I had to go home with the trek in, Jim would stay up at nights and other times to suction out the trek so I didn't choke on blood clots, after the trek came out and drain tubes still in I got s staff infection in my drain sites and was back in the hospital another 10 days where once again Jim didn't leave my side, going home having to be packed twice a day, Jim was my nurse, he packed my incision's twice a day for the next 5 months. So when he said he wanted to ride in the MS-150 I was totally supportive of him, I try to be supportive in everything he needs and wants, we both are supportive of each other, and Jim loves me telling my story just as well as I love his writings about things good and positive in his life, such as riding and finishing the MS-150. The pride we both felt was very overwhelming, I am very proud of Jim and am looking forward to seeing him accomplish more and more rides with your group. In fact I'm hoping to be able to ride with the group at some point also, cause I can't think of a better group of people to ride with, your not only a wonderful group but you truly believe in the causes you ride for.
